Much warmer than my other West River gear, just right for ice fishing here in the forks. The hood is well made, has plenty of adjustment options, and detaches when you don't need it, which is good because it's quite bulky.

I was looking for a warm hunting coat and this one had a few qualities that interested me such as will come in handy while watching the game. My only concern was the claim of being 100% waterproof, I was expecting the outer shell to be more canvas but I will take my doubts until there is evidence to the contrary.

This jacket is great for the price - warm, soft, wind and water resistant, but the membrane makes a 'crisp' noise when you move. I can still use it for whitetail hunting. BUT ! You MUST avoid ozone on this jacket. This means poor odor control. You will have a challenge after 3-4 hunts with him. Great jacket. I hunt in the Pacific Northwest and need something waterproof and warm, both at a great price. I highly recommend it. I also like the high insulated collar.
