Probably the best shoe I've ever worn for durability and comfort. I've been wearing them to work for 13 months now and the sole and leather look just as good as when I bought them. I work indoors and outdoors, often on construction sites. I keep them perfect. But I have never had such a good sole for everyday use in my work. I won't think twice about buying another pair. Excellent shoes, comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Slightly heavier than some but they offer my 240lbs good support and don't lose shape (based on experience with previous purchases of the same shoes). The sole lasts incredibly long and practically does not wear out at impact points. They have a good shine and go well with the clothes I wear (mostly jeans but also slouchy Riata dress pants. You get a durable piece of clothing for your money and you will feel good in these clothes!

To give an idea of my problem with this shoe I must first mention the previous pair of shoes I had, Skechers Relaxed Fit Artifact Excavate Slip-on. It's important to mention these shoes because the problem I had with Ropers I never had with Skechers. Let's get to the rating. Like many baby boomers, I wore boots most of the time and was looking for a comfortable alternative. I'm not looking anymore I love these shoes. They have the look and feel of boots and the comfort of a good shoe. They fit my foot size 12M perfectly and offer great support. I like them more than any of my other shoes and boots.
