Wrong size selection for Fleetwood

Fits and works whilst drilling new holes for the screws provided. They're a lot longer than the Fleetwood latches on my '08. Since these Fleetwoods are more expensive. I'm deducting a star for value.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Only available in white

Works, but! on the outside

A good replacement for twice the money. With other websites I thought this product might be the best product but it is not. Buy it on the auction site, half price and with the same plastic clasp. Thing. By the way, this item is same as Winnebago OEM item.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • So-so

Perfect replacement

They make perfect replacements if they are the same style as your tailgate. My only complaint is that they don't last very long. Newer design door latches no longer use this type of latch.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Count on it breaking after a few years

They should definitely have a metal tongue, not a plastic tongue that you can replace after a few years, but that's it everything that is available. Works until it breaks. I'm happy to pay more for something that doesn't break as often.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Fits

Accurate repair for our Fleetwood Bounder

The quality was just what we needed and a perfect fit to attach the latch to our latch funnel. The bolt was broken but the rest of the handle and lock were in good condition. It was good to fix what was broken, saving the hassle of buying a brand new lock handle and the time it would take to get the exact OEM lock mechanism.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Works just like the original.

The door latch is very easy to install and works just as well as the original. The only difference between this and the original on my Bounder was the location of the mounting screw holes. They are much wider than the originals. All I had to do was drill two new holes and the problem was solved.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Basically OK, but...

Ideal for awnings

I have a 2009 Fleetwood Terra 29V and this was as close as possible to an exact replacement. No modifications were required and the replacement took only a few minutes. I bought an extra spare and will keep it in the camper. In the photo is our camper for reference, why do we need interchangeable locks. I also greased all the locks. They look good and I hope they last a long time.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Appears to be well built

The frame appears solid but the plastic latch appears to flex under the stress as the seal is pressed onto the door. I'm worried about replacing them too soon, I've tried to find fasteners with metal plungers but no luck so far. Once the rivet head is drilled, the included screws will not hold anything in the original holes in any way. I had to buy a riveting tool and 3/16" rivets to install them (very happy with the hold of the new rivets).

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsafe

Great fit. Easy installation.

Bought to replace a broken door latch on a Fleetwood Discovery diesel push rod. I was a little scared at the thought that I'd probably have to catch some kind of cable through a door or other hard-to-reach fixture. To my delight and surprise, the ends leading from the pawl to the handle were hooked with a strong rod and were easy to pierce and connect. The only delay was having to use a square head screwdriver instead of a regular Phillips or flathead to remove the old factory latch, which…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
