Good bender, questionable straightener for 3/16

Works well with 1/4" tubing. However, I tried it on a 3/16 brake pipe and the straightening function left a bit to be desired, but good bend .

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Some problems

Simple and worth every penny

A simple and easy-to-use tool for shaping and bending brake and fuel lines. Handles bends up to 90° without worrying about bending the pipe. Saves a lot of time and money, especially when you need to create custom lines.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Versatility - comes in small places.

I was going to give this device 3 stars after first use, but the more I played with it the more I liked it. It was ESPECIALLY nice to apply it to the brake lines already installed on the car. A high performance tool should last forever.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No

Useful but not the best

This is a useful tool and for the money I'm glad I had it when I was making brake lines. It's made for 1/4" cord but I used 3/16" so there might be a difference. It makes big curves out of spiral lines, but doesn't make them perfectly straight to me. I still think it's worth it, but it doesn't replace the high-end roller systems, which I'll admit I would have preferred to buy.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Efficient and easy to use

I'm very happy with it. I've used them to straighten some NiCopp spiral brake lines and it definitely straightened them out a lot. To get them perfectly straight you need a different tool I understand and a lot more expensive I understand. So in terms of cost, they definitely strike a good balance. However, I can't say much about her ability to bend. Judging by the tool's design, it didn't seem suited for tight bends, but I didn't really need this feature as the NiCopp ruler bends well by hand.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Overpriced two piece short flat bar with line cut and pincer grip. Are the grooves aligned on both sides of the flat bar? Not much (don't expect top notch quality control here). Fortunately, the slot alignment on what I got was "accurate enough" to serve its intended purpose (basically straightening a 3/16" brake line that had a wide arc shipping bend necessary for installation had to be aligned). Again, if you're a perfectionist and looking for a professional/high-end look, this tool isn't for

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
