May need to be reformatted

Worked on my Dell 9500. Used for OS backup and video storage. I had to reformat first. The reformat took 10 minutes, I googled it like a full one.

Lots of choice in a small package

I bought this for my new M1 Macbook Air because I didn't want to pay more for less storage. Installing and transferring files is incredibly easy. It even comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable, so you don't have to worry about a hub or adapter. As a side note, if you use it on Macbooks Big Sur OS or whatever, make sure you format the SSD and allow extensions on your computer, otherwise it won't be read.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some little things

Great little external SSD for archiving

This is a great little external SSD. I use it to archive large video and audio files and free up space on my internal SSD. Two SSD drives copy files very quickly. That's a big difference in transfer speeds compared to standard mechanical external drives. I run this external drive from a powered USB hub with no problems. In fact, I wish the disc was bigger as it could get lost in a drawer.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Legacy
