No problem; weird device!

The Seiko Smart Label Printer 100 has been connected to my computer for over a year now. Although I don't use it often (I haven't finished my first roll of labels yet!), I've never had a major problem with it. It's actually quite funny - I get a bit excited when I finally hit the print button and the label immediately starts to unfold; I think the street wisdom that guys like label makers have is correct! :-) Seriously, I've always been amazed at the high resolution I get on printed labels (and

12 years later it's still happening.

12 years ago I started my own business and bought a label printer. Seiko SLP100. I got it from CompUSA. Six months later, I came back for the labels and a twenty-year-old man said condescendingly, "We don't support that. it still works. Nice. However, it does not include drivers for Windows 8 or later.

  • Integrated USB and serial interfaces

Great product - even after 6 years of use and many rolls of labels

I started using SLP in my office in the late 90's and loved it so much bought a lot I have one for home use. Fast forward 8 years and this printer has never had a problem - only now I see the ink fading (but 7 years is a good run for a single printer that has processed countless labels). I don't know if I can get replacement ink/ribbon but if not I'll buy a new one exactly the same. My SLP 100 is a great product, great price and easy to use so I would highly recommend it (which I NEVER do).

Pros
  • Allows you to make custom labels quickly
Cons
  • Not bad but...
