After a few uses, the right speaker started wheezing and making noise. I've had a lot of Tuff Talk products, mostly for hard hats. I like the ideas and swappable batteries. However, the battery cover and now the speaker are not up to standard. Very unfortunate considering how much they cost.

They are ideal for noisy construction sites. My husband and my team use them every day. I caution those who aren't tech savvy or impatient. It took some time for the devices to figure out how all the buttons work. In my opinion the buttons perform too many functions and it is difficult to remember how long to press them, how much to press for each function. Read the instructions carefully! Buy two to chat on the boat as the cheaper Sena had many reports of broken headphones and poor customer service. These are a little tricky to set up, but once set up they're good for music and intercom. However, the plastic ear cushions and foam fall apart after less than a month and a dozen uses. If you buy these but a roll of tape to hold them together. After all, it's only a few euros more and the problem is solved.

Bought two sets of TuffTalk-01 headphones for use in an open roadster. I received the first item but the ear pads don't last. The second set arrived a few days later and the ear pads appear to be in place. Tell me there is a quality control issue with the ear cups. I'm a paramotor pilot and I put it on my helmet. In short, they work, but only marginally. The sound of my paramotor is too loud for a headset. I still get a slight ringing in my ears when I fly an hour and take them off after landing. However, I see that this is normal when you are at work. They are not fragile but must be handled with care, especially when attaching a longer antenna.
