We have no complaints!

We've only had these for about a week but my son has been chewing on them since I opened the box. So far they have held up well, the chain part was very easy to adjust to the perfect size for him. They're easy to clean and discreet enough that he can wear them to school without even thinking about it. He used to chew his fingers until they bled and that completely took him off the hook and his little fingers healed. I have no complaints at all about these.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Recommendation for this product

Bought these for my 2 1/2 year old as we have eating issues. Mostly sensory stuff. In any case, I thought they were softer, but I totally understand why they aren't softer than I imagined. I like the textures on the front and back. I want part of the necklace to be adjustable. I don't like how big the piece is. Can potentially cause a choking hazard if not controlled with small ones. and if not a choking hazard, then definitely a vomiting hazard. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would…

Durable and good for pacifiers, teethers and teethers

My 5 year old daughter puts everything in her mouth. She unconsciously chewed on her shirt, her nails, and even her toys. I spoke to her pediatrician who recommended something to keep her mouth and/or hands occupied. My daughter loves Lego so I gave it a try. She was confused at first when she told me that she knew not to put Lego in her mouth. She stopped chewing on her shirt and used the necklace instead of oral restraint toys. So far the chain has held up well, no cracks and is still intact.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Doesn't go with everything

Couldn't be cheaper

Bought this for my son who has a hard time sitting still and concentrating in Pre-K. He is an active child and school is already proving to be a problem. At school, he chewed his shoelaces, sleeves, and lower lip. This product was suggested by our neighbor who has a daughter in his class and is in the carpool with us. She is a speech therapist and works with children with similar problems. Little did I know when the package arrived that it had 3 pieces, which at just over $10 I thought was a…

Probably not the best option for those who chew a lot

My son has autism and ADHD. He is constantly on a sensory quest. He chews on everything he can get his hands on, INCLUDING his hands. I bought these necklaces in desperation after he chewed on the blinds on his bedroom window and so far I'm very happy with them. He chewed his first in less than a week. So far he's had a second one in 2 days and hasn't taken out a single piece yet. When he's not sleeping or eating, he chews on his necklace. I will buy them again when he finishes the third…
