Pleasant aroma. - Incense Sticks and Incense Holder

I've had the opportunity to try several Shoyeido incense scents and there are more on the list that I want to try. None of them were offensive in any way. Tranquility is a pleasant scent, slightly sweet, earthy and relaxing. My favorite so far has been Autumn Leaves, but Tranquility offers a nice twist from time to time.

Very pleasant scent

My acupuncturist uses and sells Shoyeido Kyoto Moon incense sticks and burns them in the clinic. I was happy to find them at Revain for a decent price. I like Serenity and Abundance, both make my home calmer and more relaxing. The scent is definitely a personal preference, but I personally like Abundance a bit better.

  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

I've forgotten how wonderful a little peace can be

They're a little shorter than what I was used to from the old days, but when they faded they'd done enough. I am very sensitive to synthetic fragrances and they suit me. As I can't find my old incense bowl I was happy to see that it comes with a small holder to use during the burn. I don't like it as much as my misplaced tray, but at least I didn't have to buy a new one while searching.

The Smell of NOTHING

I'm an incense lover and it's hard to disappoint, but this one falls well short of minimum expectations. I've been driven by a lot of positive reviews here, but now that I have and use it, they don't make any sense to me. This incense smells absolutely NOTHING. Just a hint of burnt leaves, if any smell at all. It doesn't smell/taste at all even if you stick your nose in the box. Most of the Japanese incense sticks bought here, even though they claim to be made in Japan, are actually a far cry…
