Of course it works, only 2 screw holes fit the case OEM

Upgrade an old hard drive in an old desktop computer. Only 2 holes on this SSD tray match the original HP HDD tray. Of course he only holds 2 perfectly. It would be nice if all 4 were in a row.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Doesn't fit SSD in iMac HD bay

I replaced the SSD with a 27" Imac (Late 2015 and 2017). The SSD fits well in the adapter but not long enough to fit on a Mac Also the mounting pins that hold the drive in the case have different threads. The threading issue can be solved with brute force and I had to use a zip tie to secure it to the case.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Reliability

Won't fit SSD in iMac HD bay

I replaced the SSD with a 27" Imac (Late 2015 and 2017). The SSD fits snugly in the adapter but not long enough to fit to mount on a Mac. Also the mounting pins that hold the drive in the case have different threads. The threading issue can be solved with brute force and I had to use a zip tie to attach it to the case.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Crumpled

Upgrade an old hard drive in an old desktop. Only 2 holes on this SSD tray match the original HP HDD tray. Of course he only holds 2 perfectly. It would be nice if all 4 were in a row.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Minor problems

I have a 10 year old HP with Windows 7 that is getting old comes. I ran out of RAM and processor, leaving only the hard drive. For those of you with similar horsepower, this meant opening the lid, pressing the green tab, then sliding the drive back and then lifting. The wheels on the hard drive were moved to the adapter after the SSD was attached to the adapter. The whole thing took about 10 minutes. The computer is now more responsive. I wish I had done this many years ago.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Slightly torn
