Good product.: Drain filter

Good product. difficult conditions. In our application it just sits in place and is not officially attached. Since people have been talking about it rusting I will paint it but haven't done it yet. I gave four stars for value for money because I think it was a little pricey.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Useless functions

Goes perfectly with drain filters

We had an old rusty drain cover in our public pool. After removing the old cap, sanding the drain down to bare metal myself, and taking detailed measurements, I was happy to find this at Revain. It fits perfectly and should last a long time. I covered it with 3 coats of rustoleum to protect it from rust 🀞

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Sized to fit kitchen and bathroom plumbing

Fits perfectly on my 8" drain as the original cap eventually rusted and broke in half. The size is true to size and the plating should help keep it from rusting. I was concerned that it wasn't concave like the original, but that it was below the level of the surrounding basement floor and didn't create the problem of tripping over it.

Pros
  • Brilliantly Done
Cons
  • Crumpled

pain in the ass! Best in Kitchen & Bath Category

Would have been a great drain cover if I knew I had to paint it. I installed it and after a few days it started to rust and now I have to replace it with one that doesn't rust. It's a good drain cap that would serve me well, but now it's wasted money, let alone now in need of replacement. If you have purchased this drain cover, please note that it needs to be painted before underwater installation.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Negative experience

Good price for kitchen and bathroom sanitary ware

PERFECT. I used it in my propane fire pit. Place it about 3 inches above the gas burner to better disperse the gas and add turbulence to improve the mixing of the gas and air. Greatly improved the efficiency and visual effects of flames. The cast iron glows red and the center flame is pure blue = very effective. Turn on the gas to create a yellow flame for visual effect. Tested at high heat and the fire got hot enough to damage the ceramic logs, but the cast iron was out of phase.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Rusted as soon as I touched it

I bought this to install an overflow in my basement. It was the perfect spot - it fell right into the 8 inch space and was flush with the floor so I could easily put the dehumidifier hoses right on top of it. It rusted almost immediately, filling the drains with rust-colored sludge. I didn't even want to touch it after that, so I put two screwdrivers in the holes to "surgically" pull it out. While it's a solid piece of metal and fits well, the fact that it disintegrates so quickly doesn't make…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Don't really like it, it's ok
