I like this product because it allowed me to get rid of a bulky mic stand with tripod legs that wasn't tall enough to stand and use (it was a seated one high microphone stand). I really wanted this mic stand to be perfect and it is VERY close to perfect. Height with my Rode mic, bump and pop filters on. With the minimum setting and the correct microphone position, the microphone is too high. In the highest position the mic starts to tip a bit and loses balance because it's so heavy you have to put the mic upside down, but when it's upside down the mic becomes too short. This is a great solution. A great start for YouTubers and podcasters. It is adjustable. That looks great. No giant space pig. There are heavier ones out there, but that should handle most capacitors just fine. I'd be a little nervous about some heavy tube capacitors. For example a heavy clone of C12.
