Works on 2012 Honda Rancher 420 Automatic!

The starter motor was easy to fit, "air box" was painful to pull out and put back. Why pay $250 for a Honda starter when it works and is sooooo much cheaper.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • There are doubts

Perfect fir in appetizers

Satisfied so far. Used in 2012 Foreman 500. Easy to install once you get to the starter. Works as it should. Although I've started it 10 times so far, an OE died at 275 miles and 110 hours, can you imagine? It has a good chance of surpassing the original

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Fits and works great

Starter motor fits perfectly and works great. It arrived a day earlier than expected. Being able to turn the plastic cover that surrounds the positive terminal the same direction as your old starter motor will save you some time rewiring to line it up. The wire doesn't have much slack to work with.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Almost everything included

IDENTICAL! good for beginners

I ordered a starter for my 2008 Honda 420 Fourtrax from another dealer and got it for a Honda car. I ordered it even though the reviews said you need to pad it so it's not noisy. I returned the original purchase as it would take weeks to replace, I decided to return it and immediately ordered the niche. It arrived very quickly. I took it out of the box and compared it to my old one which was the original starter and it was IDENTICAL! So I installed it. WITHOUT SEAL. And wow, very quiet, just…

Pros
  • Same as everything
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Perfect fit for 2011 Honda TRX420FPE Rancher ES 4x4 with power steering

Item arrived a day early (pleasant surprise). The starter was identical to the original. All I had to do was loosen the positive battery connector to rotate it to the same orientation as the original. There is a small notch that needs to be aligned to allow the positive battery cable to sit flat. I've read other reviews that say this needs to be done and it's important to do this prior to installation as the cable on my Honda doesn't have enough slack to work without aligning. As long as the…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
