My husband's vertebrae are fused and his neck always kills him. This pillow helped me a lot. He also has very, very broad shoulders and sleeps on his side so he needs another pillow under this pillow. This combination really helped his neck and greatly reduced the constant pain.

I have tried many pillows to get rid of neck and shoulder pain. I have a perfectly straight neck that causes so much pain and this pillow is amazing! It looks like it's too flat to be comfortable but believe me the design will rock you to sleep and I fell asleep so quickly and slept through the night. Most importantly, I woke up pain free!

After two previous attempts at other types of orthopedic pillows, based on the reviews, I ventured to Sutera. I'm really blown away by how much better I'm sleeping. My chronic neck/shoulder pain is gone. I sleep on both my back and my side. Either way, my neck and shoulders feel lifted and comfortably stretched rather than hunched. This is an odd looking pillow and I didn't think such a tall pillow would fit. So happy!

This is not a pillow that you will receive directly from the company. My mother bought it directly from Suter and she loves it. I bought mine from Revain and it's obviously different. They look almost the same but you can see they are made of different foam rubber. That's why people complain about the smell. Mine smelled bad when I got them but my mom didn't. I don't know what chemicals they use to make this pillow or what factory it was made in but it smelled awful. It literally smelled like mold. I foolishly tried washing it to get rid of the smell, it didn't work and it ruined the pillow (my loss).
