🎒 SwissGear Ultra-Lite Backpack, Black, One Size Review

I've had one of these for five years and really liked it, especially the little extra neck support pillow on top. It's the same brand and looks the same as my old one, but unfortunately this one only lasted a few months before it started deflating. It is also very difficult to close the valve once it is filled with air. It's too late to return it and I hesitate to buy another one after this bad experience.

I think this is the best neck pillow ever. I used one and ordered two more. I often sleep in cars/vans and the extra inflatable compartment raises the pillow to fill the gap between the headrest and the seat to provide good head support. You sleep on your side (I carry an air mattress and sleeping bag with me and sleep in airports every few months), the extra compartment elevates the pillow to be just the right height for the headrest.

I use a SwissGear airbag because it inflates easily - unlike other airbags I've tried that don't inflate. However, SwissGear cushions are short-lived. For example, I bought it on December 13, 2016. Last night July 28th 2017 it was leaked after only 7 months! (I've tried to fix a leak in the past to no avail.) I consider it a core value to have a neck pillow when flying, which is often the case. This product combines the simplicity and compactness I need. I fold it up and put it in the same bag as my noise-cancelling headphones (another essential item for frequent travelers) and leave it there, always ready to use when I travel. Great travel pillow. very handy and can be folded up very small for on the go. I've been using this for decades now with no problems. However, this one has a weak valve that is very difficult to close once inflated. hence the bad rating. This can be a good pillow - it's nice and fluffy, the extra pillow is comfortable, it's very compact when folded. But I would not recommend buying it. The construction is very cheap - the seam seems to dig into the neck if held too close. The valve is as cheap as an old inflatable beach toy. It's very thin, like a short drinking straw, the cap is flimsy and I expect it will break after not too many uses, and there's no deflation blocker.
