Great lens for the price!

I bought the Sony A300 and was immediately disappointed with the picture quality of the kit lens. So I went looking for a replacement lens and came across the Tamron 28-105mm. It offered less WA but more range, which I prefer. For only $40 with free shipping I couldn't pass it up and I'm glad I didn't. I checked Modern Photography Magazine's reviews to pick this lens as the sharpest zoom lens in the 20-120 range. Even Nikon or Canon can't beat this lens for sharpness over the entire zoom range. Spherical aberration is slightly higher than the average lens in this range, so you won't want to shoot professional architectural photos with this lens…
