Hey, they worked! on Tools & Equipment

Works like clockwork. However, the insertion tool was fairly poorly formed, with the coil getting easily stuck in the tip, at least until I removed the mold burr. Otherwise a great solution for some broken threads in the aluminum head!

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Good kit, saved my mountain bike fork

Works well. I used it to re-cut the removed brake mount bushing. The instructions, especially when it comes to using Prewind, could be a lot better. What annoys me is that it doesn't come with multiple inserts of different lengths. I don't know how durable the faucet is as I've only used it once on magnesium. As for the reviews complaining about the wear and tear, I'm wondering if they used any type of cutting oil.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Awesome DIY Motorbike Quick Build Kit

Works great. The screw holes on the oil pump cover of my motorcycle (Yamaha R6 '06) (aluminum wheel) were torn off. This set did exactly what it was supposed to do. My only advice is to be sure to use THREADING OIL when threading the inserts and back off 1/4 to 1/2 turn for each turn. This ensures that all chips come out of the hole and reduces the risk of you breaking the threaded part. I couldn't get the BLUE glue tool to work so I just threw it away and used the metal glue handle myself…

Pros
  • Awesome Build
Cons
  • Disappear

Did the job. Saved my ass. Good price

Works great and a lot cheaper than the Helicoil brand. For fixing torn off threads on the valve cover. Couldn't start it with the blue part but got in right away without it, just the black part. I don't know if it was just me or the instrument. But yes, saved me a lot of time and torque. I haven't used the red T-handles on Amazon, but judging by the photos and reviews, if you don't want to spend $100 on a signature brand, these are the ones you need.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Only available in black
