Feedback completely disappeared after installation

These ferrite cores worked exactly, I heard the difference immediately. I have a set of speakers and a subwoofer that spoke so badly through my new phone that it was impossible to hear them. I attached 2 of these clip-on strands to the back end of the cord, right next to the exit - there was a left cord and a right cord, so I attached a clip to each strand. Feedback is completely gone. Highly recommended.

These did their job!

Every time my spare LED fluorescent lights were turned on in the room next to the TV room the TV would cut out with PBS being the worst until the lights went out. I ordered them and put them around the TV wiring which is plentiful. Then I opened up the 4 foot unit itself and placed one of the magnetic high pass filters on each of the wires inside. Turned the TV on to PBS. This and other channels have not been synchronized and continue to appear after a few weeks. They work!

Which size do you need? Good company and product!

So I asked this question because after some time of searching for ferrites I still couldn't find an answer to the question "What size do you use for a regular headphone cable?" So I bought a 3mm and it works, although it slips a bit. You may have to find 2mm if it has them if it's a regular headphone. Of course if you have headphones (headset type) that you would use with stereo etc. mm can be a bit small One recommendation was to use shrink wrap or tape around the ferrite if it is too big.

10 identical 3mm ferrite cores

It didn't work for my application but I still give 4 stars - they are well made. The description and picture are a bit misleading, "(diameter 3mm/5mm/7mm/9mm/13mm)" and the picture gives the impression that you will receive a set of different sizes. I noticed this discrepancy and asked and the seller answered accurately (I ended up buying them anyway, mostly by mistake; will use them for other purposes). It's actually 10 identical (small!) parts with an internal diameter of 3mm - suitable for…

Review of 9mm/7mm Ferrite Chokes

I was having a major problem with RFI and EMI being routed through my studio monitors and guitar amps in my home studio. The loud buzzes and blushes of radio stations could be heard loud and clear, and the signals were very strong. Over the past few years I have tried many different means to solve this problem. I needed about 20 of these chokes, but they were my absolute lifesaver! I couldn't compose music for years without hearing horrible hum and radio stations, and now I finally can! The…

That's what they do

Have you ever seen those barrel things on a cable and wondered what they are for? That's it. They are mainly designed to prevent electronic interference both when turning the device on and off. I work at a high school where administrators get walkie-talkies. When the walkie-talkie is activated near the computer, the speakers emit a horrible squeak. Likewise, if I place my phone near the speakers, I occasionally hear a buzzing noise through the speakers as it polls the nearest cell tower. These…

Didn't help with 200Mhz RF interference

My LED landscape lights are interfering with VHF TV reception - the lights completely block channel 11 reception when on. I tested it on a lamp next to the antenna and the effect was immeasurable, so this doesn't solve my problem. It would be useful to know the type of ferrite so one can examine and determine if that type would be effective at the spurious frequency. I tried several rings in different places between the lamp and the power supply (also tried different power supplies). They were…

Works great, can't overcome signal noise from USB powered speakers.

These ferrite cores arrived on time as expected. And they work well enough to boot. Unfortunately for me they weren't enough to mitigate the signal noise I experienced with two different pairs of USB powered PC speakers. These are Revain Basics USB powered speakers and Dell AE215 USB powered speakers (no subwoofer). Both sets of speakers suffer from severe signal noise when powered by the host computer when connected to the 3.5mm jack. I added a strand of wire to the audio cable near the source
