Great converter. in spare parts

Easy installation. I've put about 36 miles on this kit and about 7 hours of mobbing and it's holding up great. Installation was easy. Belt still looks good, worn very little. Climb a lot of hills off-road and reach speeds of up to 48 miles per hour even on roads. It's holding up great so far. It was fitted to a custom kart with a Predator 212 Stage 1 kit. Be sure to go this route instead of the clutch kit, it starts much faster. Raise the front wheels.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some problems

DO NOT USE THE BOLT FOR THE CRANKSHAFT INCLUDED IN THE KIT!

This worked great until the supplied bolt attaching the primary pulley to the engine crank broke causing the pulley to puncture the cover and damage the pulley. The seller (Coralov-US) did an excellent job of solving the problem. Bolt said it was 8.8 but I don't think it is. There are other reports of the same thing happening. Tip: A good way to easily snap off a crankshaft is to use a Dremel with a whetstone and diamond bit. Funny times!

This kit is not for Predator 212 but for clone engines

1 This kit is good but I could not install it to use because the bolt is not for Predator 212cc by port charge. Seems to work fine for other clone engines though.2 The wording in the description says it is, but if you read it it may not be.3 Cutting a hole in the plastic cover of the torque converter is common on any of these engines , since this is the case manufacturers do not know where you will put the chain. (Just to mention) 4 My box had a hole in it and was missing the driven pulley nut…

Wow what a project.

Okay let me start this review by saying I'm very happy after installing it, but I'm giving this review four stars due to the number of modifications I had to add to make this item work my Coleman RB 200 196cc where to start ah. Therefore, the kit does not include spacers under the engine mount. I had to create my own and install them before installing TC. I also had to modify the cover to allow a chain to go through. I won't go into detail because it will take all day. This project should take…

Good product for now if you enjoy making other items to make it work

I didn't like that I had to build a platform for the motor to sit on with any other option that i used it to. The torque converter is located close to the engine to clear most engine mounting platforms. I also had to re-do a bolt on my engine to make it work and also purchase bolts to install on my engine, the ones sent as a kit did not have the same thread pattern. I had to hammer the heat shield onto the engine to get the torque converter to clean my engine and also lap the bolt. Despite what

Pros
  • Good product for its price

  • No machine

Works elegantly, works well with torque converters

Driven about 15 miles and seems to be holding up well. (WRITING THIS ONLY FOR COLEMANS) Installed on my ct200uex. YOU WILL NEED a 5/8 to 3/4 crankshaft adapter. Also, none of the included fasteners will fit, you'll have to go to a hardware store and buy all the fasteners yourself. M6 1.5 was the right size for the Coleman screws in my opinion. ALL LOCTITE! As far as I can tell you need to jack up the motor with 1" washers I made out of square aluminum. You can probably jack up the mount so you…

Serious safety issues

To sum up, the 212CC torque converter has serious safety issues. I installed a 212cc torque converter on a 6.5hp Predator 212 engine. (back position); All parts are used to drive the metal frame car. The torque converter kit included all of the parts needed to install the torque converter, but the kit also included extra bolts that weren't even intended for any part of this build (parts that didn't even fit into any aspect of the kit). The 212CC torque converter was installed fairly quickly…
