Superb CD 2 albums

Superb CD 2 albums. The Troggs were so innovative for their time and were such an influence on many of the big punk bands of the 70's and later the new wave era.

Pros

Cellophane - Beautiful 3rd album!

Please note that this review is for the release of "Cellophane" with 12 different bonus tracks (not "Mixed Bag"). The Troggs of the 1960s can hardly be described as an album group. However, they released some pretty solid albums for Fontana/Page One in the 60's. 1967's Cellophane, their third album, includes the classic single "Love is All Around" and other great Reg Presley compositions such as "All of the Time", "It's Snowing" and "My Lady". Reg Presley had a rare talent for writing catchy…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Two great (slightly) rare trogg gems.

First of all I would like to start this review by saying that these are original versions, nothing has been reworked here. These are two albums - the third and fourth Troggs albums, released in 1967 and 1968 respectively. Some of the songs on both albums are in stereo, others in mono. 24 great songs. The Cellophane album is (mostly) 3 guitars and drums, pure rock, sometimes flute. pretty easy for 1967, but not EVERY band will go psychedelic in 1966-67. The only ones that are somehow reminiscent

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
