The original drain pump float was filled with water

I had to replace the original float on my sump pump because it was picking up water. Hopefully that float won't take on water because the drain pump won't work if it didn't leave the float switch in position. flooding

  • Absolutely amazing!

Wayne Float Kit - Water Pumps, Parts & Accessories

Bought the Wayne Float Kit for my hard drain pump. Worked great. There were no instructions for the product. Had to do a bit of research online to see that a rubber connector connects the float shaft to a hook at the bottom of the sump to keep it upright.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Unusable features

just the part i need

I have a Wayne drain pump that automatically stops pumping because the stem and float are defective. The rod is the biggest culprit. These parts fit perfectly and the pump works great. The service was good and I would stay there again anytime. floating only, tumbleweed 216

Perfect for Wayne drainage pump

This replacement vertical float fits perfectly and works great with my Wayne drainage pump. It took some fiddling to get it. I had to climb the hole with both hands, but it was easy and no tools were needed. Pricey for the wand, rubber band, and plastic cylinder, but better than endless scrubbing in the basement.

  • good thing

Missing parts, main

The main part is missing and the only reason I bought it is because I need a pole. Mine is rusted and can't be bought separately so I bought this replacement but it's missing the stem. Poor factory quality assurance, I think there are no holes in the glass for the rod to fall out and it is sealed. I guess I'll have to go back and hope for the best next time.

Pros
  • Quality build

Too expensive for a wire and a piece of plastic

I'm only giving this three stars because of the outrageous price gouging. It shouldn't be more than $10. This is a very thin wire and a piece of plastic. The problem with the old one was that the wire rusted. Then the float would get stuck on corrosion and not push through to the end and turn on the pump. Let's see how long this lasts. Hopefully for $49, several years! But it's a lot cheaper than the one I just replaced. You might as well spend another $125 and buy a brand new pump. It works…

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Compatibility
