I really wanted a red bowl style incense burner. As mentioned in some reviews, the central part of the cone that holds the incense sticks is not very stable, instead tipping over under the weight of the stick. I simply added a piece of air dried clay to the inside of the cone to hold the stick better and glued it to the record with the E6000. Problem solved. Considering the price, I didn't mind playing around with it a bit to get it working for me. In fact, I think I'll order three more colors.

To be honest a lot of people don't buy them for decoration, they use them quite often. The cone/wand holder is a nice little bonus although not as durable but then again most people who get it will be using charcoal briquettes anyway which this lovely item is perfect for. I have the light blue and it's SO good! It's the perfect size and fits pretty much anywhere without being impractical. The lid also fits well and the design creates a stunning effect when the smoke comes out. I really love this burner, but there is one very annoying downside. This little beauty is perfect for burning skittles or chopsticks. I don't understand the negative reviews; Perhaps these users don't realize that placing a non-combustible liner on the bottom of the mug to hold the coaster works best? I added 1/2-3/4 aquarium sand.
