The letters come out clear and I like the font but the latch that should hold the letters until they hit doesn't work. The pen is cheaply made, but with some tape on the end, the letter will sit and hold well. So that's my reason for playing him. The rest of the kit is solid. For the price I would still buy.

Decent value for money. Don't press the stamp in too hard or you will end up with a square outline around the letters or numbers you just stamped into the leather. My only complaint has to do with the boxy feel I get when I press the ram on the 4th or 5th stroke. Too bad, because the letters themselves look better on the 5th hammer blow.

I bought these to make custom leather tags for my crochet orders and they turned out great! My customers love it and it's so quick and easy. It took me a few tries to figure out how difficult it is to score and how to line up the letters, but this is more user error and lack of know-how than a product. The set is super light, compact for storage and incredibly durable. For a beginner like me who has no real knowledge of working with leather, they are perfect!
