I don't know why I haven't been using this product for so long. Before I retired, I had the key to the handcuffs on a ring attached to one of the guards on my Sam Brown duty belt. As I continue to work in the security industry I purchased a padded mesh belt with a velcro strap underneath which got rid of my retainers entirely. This product fits my 2 inch belt perfectly, I now have full access to the ring and key from the handcuffs. It works perfectly!

I ordered 6 pieces for my two universal belts because one of the ZAK 54 let me down because I dropped my keys. Of course, I have had ZAK 54 housekeepers for more than 15 years. The metal fatigued over time with less spring pressure. I hung them on my belt and the first time I got out of the car my keys fell straight to the floor. I declined and sent them back.
