Lizard definitely not cracked

I think my lizard is just mixed up or something. He used to eat alfalfa pellets when that was the only food for figs, but now he's getting picky and refusing to eat them. Will keep trying. Maybe I'll mash it up in a banana and see if that works.

Excellent maintenance food for herbivorous reptiles

I got my iguana young in the spring of 1992 just before I graduated in 1993. living with this diet. I've added dandelion greens and other fruits and veggies as rewards, but this diet has been her mainstay for 23 years. Just read the ingredients! I've also had Chukawallas on this diet, one lived to 25+ and another is turning 20 this year. I've certainly gotten pretty good at UVB lighting too.

Pros
  • Great construction

This and other commercially available foods are good supplements for occasional or perhaps daily use, as they make up no more than half of your iguana's diet. My iguana enjoys munching on this dish from time to time and it (and especially the colored fruit) is a great treat. Bottom line, it's a good meal for your iguana, but not as the only…
