Review on World of Ether by Francisco Varela

World of Ether

World of Ether can be considered as a cross between the successful game, Pokémon and eBay. Players buy monsters from other players, fight with them to increase their abilities to raise rarer monsters, and auction those rare monsters to other players on the open market. When you level up in World of Ether you gain access to new and stronger types of monsters. The goal is to reach the final level, where you can get the rarest monsters and items to sell to other players.

Pros
  • There are rewards if you are the first to reach certain milestones. If you are the first to discover a certain legendary monster, you receive $ 12,000, for example.
  • State of the Dapps, the flagship decentralized app rating platform ranks World of Ether # 1 in the Ethereum gaming category.
  • Players will be able to earn more ETH through raising and selling their monsters. This gives users a chance to earn money while playing video games and trying to survive the long crypto bear market.
  • World of Ether partnered with Toshi from Coinbase (mobile browser for the Ethereum blockchain) to offer the mobile game version (and needs MetaMask to play on the desktop).
Cons
  • It does not have good graphics, the game sometimes slows down.
  • It is expensive compared to other games.
