Price includes storage and accessories

Pros:+ YES, it's Lego compatible! So far so good.+ Inexpensive: You get 4 of them for the price of 2 Lego.+ Can be used as roofs, which is not possible with Lego. For this price it's definitely worth it! The real ones are just too expensive.

Great way to get records cheaper

My kids love it. They perfectly match the LEGO branding on the top and bottom. How will you use them? Great for our kids). The Dollar Tree branding matches perfectly with the LEGO logo at the top of the plate (only).

Cons
  • Slightly torn

So happy with it!

You served our purpose well! My husband converted my little boy's train table into a LEGO table and it made the job a lot easier. Not only are they great quality - even the packaging was impressive - they even included a link to a PDF with instructions on how to cut and glue the panels! And all at a much lower price than LEGO. We really couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them.

Cons
  • Some bugs

Not suitable for large building towers LEGO

I was very happy to find a set of four base plates. We used it to build "cities" with my baby. Unfortunately, while they look very similar to LEGO base plates, they don't fit properly, so they don't make a good base for LEGO buildings. For example, if you use longer LEGO bricks, the first half of the brick will lay flat, but the last half will not. It might work better with a same-brand product than LEGO. Would return but open past return deadline.

Some shortcomings with storage and accessories

That's fine, but I've been trying to find boards that are as rigid as the ones I played with as a kid (even though they were a brick tall) and they still have some flexibility, although not as strong as modern Lego baseplates. When you put the two together you end up with a pretty stiff board, so that's what we're doing right now. For some reason we also found that some of the wider lego pieces were extremely difficult to attach to the boards. It's hard to make anything 100% compatible with…

Will be getting more in the near future

I bought these for my two granddaughters along with the Lego Community Starter Set and they love them. The only problem was that they can do so many projects that I should buy them 2 packs of each base plate instead of one. They tried swapping places but ended up wanting the same colors. Of course. Instead of giving them each other a pack, my daughter said they needed to learn how to use it. I agree. However, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and Dad really needs to get them something…

Nice thick sturdy plates

These plates are thicker than those sold by LEGO. This is really handy when you want to move your creation. However, attaching the LEGO baseplate to the Brickyard baseplate can be tricky as a straight piece will not fit. You will need something like a plate with a bow (see example Lego design number 15068). Alternatively, you will need to assemble the LEGO baseplate from a thin, flat piece before attaching the connector to the Brickyard baseplate. But - actually the solution is very simple…

  • Unbelievable price

GOLD! I love her! for toy building

I have a 13 year old son and a 9 year old daughter who love LEGO. ALL they wanted for Christmas was LEGO. When they pooled their resources and built a city out of 2 pieces of 4x8 plywood, they calculated how much it would cost to have lots of grass, water, concrete, etc. They quickly found that it would cost both colleges to buy LEGO bricks. together! I surprised them with these Dynamax baseplates and shared the cost too. GOLD! They are beautiful and heavy. In fact, they make LEGO look cheap…
