I think this product is generally poorly designed unless you have the right wood for it. I have a thin 6 1/2 foot tall Christmas tree that doesn't meet the height and weight limitations for this stand. However, he seems to be fighting against my tree. This stand has a hole for metal wood as well as a plug that fits into the hole making the hole smaller. My tree is too big (about 1/8 inch) for a fork but too small to use without a fork. I really liked this stand at first, but after turning it on several times, the bulbs began to flicker when rotated. We checked all the bulbs and connectors and everything was fine. The more times I turned it on, the longer the light stayed off. It works great when not spinning, but I must have had an electrical connection problem while spinning.
