Review on Efficient Rotating Tree Stand: Perfect for Artificial Trees Up To 7.5 Feet Tall by Damon Murray

It's good if you have the right tree.

I think this product is generally poorly designed unless you have the right wood for it. I have a thin 6 1/2 foot tall Christmas tree that doesn't meet the height and weight limitations for this stand. However, he seems to be fighting against my tree. This stand has a hole for metal wood as well as a plug that fits into the hole making the hole smaller. My tree is too big (about 1/8 inch) for a fork but too small to use without a fork. So I wrapped gorilla tape around the base of the tree (similar to duct tape but thicker). That made it neater at the top. The problem is how the bottom/bottom of the hole/shaft is designed. It's wider than the top of the hole and has ribs around it. Although the pole is tight at the top, it leaves room for wobble at the base, causing the tree to sit at a slight angle. Because of this, it doesn't turn as smoothly as it should and seems like it has trouble turning the tree due to the occasional low pop and very short stops and starts. It's a real shame because the tree looks beautiful as it rotates, causing the lights to "flicker" and the decorations to flicker. I didn't want to redo the whole tree so I'm using it this year but not next season. I can take a small pencil tree and use this stand instead. I wouldn't recommend this tree unless you're willing to play tricks on it or you're unlucky with a tree survey, which is perfect. I would go with one of the other screw mount swivel stands. They're a bit more expensive, but they seem to work better. I can, but one of those for this tree is next year. Hope this review helps.
