Canon owns the free images you print.

Read the App Store Terms of Service. You must agree that they have worldwide free access to any images you print. for what they want. I think for such an expensive printer I could at least print in peace. See attached screenshot:

Excellent image quality

The right image is from a Canon Ivy and the left image is from an HP Sprocket. As you can see, the Canon Ivy's image and color quality is excellent. I edited the brightness of the image minimally as I wanted to compare the image quality as accurately as possible. I am happy with the printer so far and it is exactly what I need for my 2x3 bullet journaling prints.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I don't really like this, it's ok

Combined with Album

For my sister's wedding I decided to give this IVY cannon as a gift so she can print her honeymoon memories. But I realized I needed to make my gift even more personal. I bought an album with her, took clandestine photos of her bachelorette party, a cake tasting trip she shared with me, endless wedding dress fittings until she found the perfect dress, and an arduous but rewarding search for a good wedding gift for the grooms . After the wedding she called me on her honeymoon as soon as sheโ€ฆ

PRACTICAL AND PRACTICAL PRINTER!

We bought this for our daughter for Christmas and I wasn't sure if it was worth it but thought we'd give it a try. Our daughter loves her polaroid and puts the moment on the chalkboard in her room to match her love of instantly printed photos. I was skeptical of what she would be able to do on her own at 12, but after reading the simple instructions, she put the paper in and printed her first photo! We admired how she typed without real ink ;) and how great it was that her images were reallyโ€ฆ

This thing gives me life now

Oh my god. It is great. I got this because I wanted to quickly add photos to my travel journal. The fact that the images were already on self-adhesive paper and didn't require ink refills made this a good idea for me. I already bought Instax but the print quality was TERRIBLE so I took it back. This little printer works much better. The images are clear and bright. Since I'm not traveling right now, I decided to make some cute stickers for my nieces. Then I started doing things for myself. Just go and get your prints in 1 hour

This is a big disappointment. Print quality is mediocre at best, most colors print poorly, and contrast tones are almost non-existent. Most blues (except royal) look black or white depending on the hue, and red looks like you've toned it down the saturation scale. It takes a good quality photo and turns it into a poorly lit driver's license photo. Not to mention there are no instructions, so the phone must have a QR code reader to even take you to a website to download the app (which doesn'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Print 2" x 3" photos with foil and adhesive backing
Cons
  • Insecure

Canon Ivy VS HP Sprocket

TLDRIvy vs Sprocket: Depends on personal preference. . . Everything from the instructions to the ease of use to the Android app is nearly identical. Canon Ivy portraits look better (less sharp is better here), but prints lose detail in dark areas. HP Sprocket prints are slightly higher resolution, better tonal gradation, but slightly sepia. See photos. CONCLUSION They're both fun, easy to install and use, and produce prints that any 'normal' person would find perfectly acceptable, if notโ€ฆ
