This is a good set if like me you are just starting out in basket making. I decided to make some baskets for Christmas and although none of these tools were listed in the kit I was glad I had one and it really helped. I especially like the little yellow pliers as they are very sharp and useful for many products besides basket weaving.

Good buy! Yes, it really is a basic set of cane and cane weaving tools (don't worry about it for wicker or spiral baskets!), but they are very useful. Yes, the awl is small, you can buy it at any hardware store, and the wrapping tool can be replaced with a flat head screwdriver, but I review the tools individually at other wicker shops and this is a good buy even if you really need a pipe cutter , scissors and caliber. So I'm very happy with my purchase, thanks!

This is good for those just starting out in basket weaving. They are not of the highest quality but are good enough for people who don't do much basket weaving or for those who are just starting out. The dipstick is plastic and looks like it should be the right size. The cutters are good, but you can tell right away that they're cheaply made.
