Flimsy, but so far so good.

Not as sturdy as others I have, magnet is not strong enough for anything practical. Hasn't broken, but definitely not sturdy.

Pros
  • What is a tremendous help very well made Would recommend for people with limited reaching capability
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with certain types of replacements

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not worth your money

Dressing/shoehorn broke first time it was used. The sick helper is smaller and foot can't go all the way in to pull up sock.

Pros
  • Product was fine for the price, used for after heart surgery
Cons
  • May not be covered by insurance

Glad to Have these Items

I haven't had to use them yet, but I've been 'practicing' prior to my upcoming joint surgery. Glad I bought these! Some consumers may not have the space to use certain tools.

Pros
  • Occupational & Physical Therapy Aids
Cons
  • Some consumers may not have the space to use certain tools

These are essential if reaching or bending are an issue.

After major surgery, these have become the most useful items I’ve purchased to get thru day to day living. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the white sock thing is so wide my socks do not fit. It’s useless unless you have extremely wide feet with loose socks. These are useless for normal women. I’m not sure who designed this thing, but offering a narrower one would be advantageous.

Pros
  • great product very useful.
Cons
  • Some of the tools may be difficult for some consumers to use

Got me through the knee surgery

The sock puller really helped the first couple of weeks after surgery. I also use the grabber and the hook stick many times each day!

Pros
  • 32" Extendable Rotating Pickup Tool
Cons
  • Some tools may be too heavy for some consumers

Sock aid is for Very narrow feet!

Grabber is ok.designed for shorter person. Shoehorn works well.Sock assistant is unusable unless you have a narrow foot.

Pros
  • Great for reaching and getting dress
Cons
  • Some of the tools may require assembly

Ready for my Hip surgery

Products all work fine, some say the sock helper is too big, but I put on very tight compression socks just fine. The items are not incredibly sturdy, but for the price, they have been fine. I use the shoehorn/grabber hook quite a bit and the grabber alone is probably worth the price- it is multi-functional and has a wide grip that works great in the kitchen.

Pros
  • They work. Came on time.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions

Not great kinda works

The sock pulling on thing has cheap foam that has already warn off. The shoehorn removal hook break at the join. Claws fine. They still basically do the job but they were cheap and it shows.

Pros
  • 17.65 x 6.5 x 3.35 inches; 1.65 Pounds
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with chronic pain

The Reacher Grabber is a winner!

The reacher grabber is worth its weight in gold. I still use it for reaching and sitting things up high. I was never able to use the other gadgets. They required too much bending and twisting, and if you’ve had knee or hip replacement that much reaching immediately following surgery is not in the cards…and after a couple of weeks when you can bend and twist I managed better without them.

Pros
  • This was given as a gift. I was really appreciated.
Cons
  • May require physical exertion

Bought cuz it was cheap…

Had my hip replaced and knew I would want a sock putter onner thing to help me. This kit was the same price as others with just the sock assistive device. The grabber and the reacher/shoe horn have both come in handy, as well. All do as they are supposed to do in helping me be more independent in my recovery.

Pros
  • These devices made recovery from hip replacement surgery much easier. They all work well.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all ages

Big help I reaching items dropped or overhead

After having spine surgery, this was suggested by the hospital physical therapist! The reaching tool has really come in handy. I haven’t used the one that helps with puttin on socks and such but I used it in hospital once and it’s a great tool

Pros
  • B091PZF255
Cons
  • Some consumers may require additional instruction on how to use certain tools

It broke before I could use it

I dropped the Shoe Horn & Dressing Stick on a wood floor and one of the hooks broke off rendering it useless. The plastic is kind of flimsy to begin with. I have to use the shoehorn to push my socks off. The sock aid and reacher/grabber work. If I had planned better before my surgery, I would have returned this kit and gotten something sturdier.

Pros
  • What a great bunch of tools for the hip operation and recovery.
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with mobility limitations

Looks like the well made competitor

I like the grabber. Works well. Good design. The sock donner was a little smaller in the width and the edges were a little sharp. So it was easier to get the sock over it, but it kinda hurt digging in my skin as I used it. That’s being a little nit-picky. It’s real mode of failure is the little foam pad on the back that grabs your sock and pulls it up your leg when you pull on the ropes. The competitor uses a black rubber pad. Lasts forever and works great. This one is a lightweight foam that…

Pros
  • Portable Kit & Special for Beloved Ones
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with muscle weakness or atrophy

Variable quality. - my new review

Foldable reacher is great and portable, though not as sturdy as non-folding. Dressing stick/shoe horn is terrific. Sock aid heel foam peeled and shredded within a week.

Pros
  • Kekoy
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with limited flexibility

5 in 1 hip knee back

Most of the items are absolutely not helpful. The grabber is extremely helpful. The rest is more aggregating than necessary.

Pros
  • It works great
Cons
  • May not be effective for all types of joint replacements

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I only used 2 of the 4 pieces

After hip replacement you will use the reacher grabber daily for quite a long time - you can't bend or reach the floor. The sock aid was never used. The only sock I wore was compression and this grabber doesn't help get those on at all (if you wear regular socks perhaps this works) The shoe horn and the clothes enabler is also used a lot. I think this set is a bit overpriced for the use and what you get. The problem is you don't know what you will need until someone tells you or you live…

Pros
  • Makes dressing easy after surgery.
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with severe joint damage

Broken patella these were great!

The sock helper was great! Same with the grabber and the shoe horn. Good set when you can't bend your leg. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Adjustable Sock Helper Easy on Easy off
Cons
  • Some of the tools may require maintenance or replacement over time

Sock aid too large - post updated

***UPDATED***I’ve increased my rating to 4 stars after surgery. I’ve used the reacher/grabber, which works well and I love that it folds and is easier to transport. The dressing stick is still very handy. And - although the sock aide was too large for my personal socks - it has helped greatly in getting on the TED compression socks required after surgery.***Original Review***The Dressing stick is handy and works well. I haven’t tried the reacher/grabber. The main reason I purchased the set was…

Great assist after total hip replacement

You don’t realize how much you drop or reach for stuff until you are unable to bend (first to third weeks postop). These little devices were great in assisting me me thru this difficult time. Got another set for my brother in law who is about to have the same surgery.

Pros
  • Mom had hips done this helps
Cons
  • May not be effective for individuals with limited mobility

Life saver! on my review.

Everything that comes with this kit works very well, I had a hip replacement and the sock tool, and the long shoe horn was a life saver, if it wasn't for these I never would have been able to get my socks and shoes on by myself, definitely worth the money, and it's nice that everything breaks down to fit in the carring bag.

Pros
  • Nothing bad or outstanding. Wish the gripper was longer
Cons
  • hook & grabber broke within a week of having it.
