Had an analog machine that was over twenty years old that finally tanked. Not a fan of digital machines. Was looking for a good natural sound machine. My prior one was solid, and I didn’t have much hope for a reputable replacement. This one changed my mind. It’s solidly built, simple, and the sound is absolutely on point. Excellent.

I was skeptical when I ordered it but the white noise really helps me not focus on sounds during my naps. That's my review.

I now have several of these and many other family members are now owners as well after hearing them at our house and when we travel. Bought our first one in 2011 when it was called Marpac and this one seems as good as that one and the others.

The first Dohm I ever had lasted nearly 10 years. This lasted less than three. It was kept in ideal conditions and only run at night. I noticed it sounded a little more quiet for a few days and then it just stopped turning on altogether. Very disappointing.

We've used our old Dohm Noise Machine every night for many years, and it's never failed us. It's heavy because it is so robustly made, and I'm sure that this is a big part of why it works so well, for so long. If you don't need an elaborate array of nature sounds like waterfalls, surf, rain showers*, sea breezes, animal calls and the like to help you fall asleep, this device will provide a good sampling of useful white noise through adjustable vent settings. This is a simple product- a fan that just whirs but doesn’t blow. Adjusting the size of the openings controls the volume and tone of the sound. This is my second unit- I have one on my nightstand for sleep and one for meditation to mask noise. Highly recommended if you want a simple, analog sound machine.

Love love love this sound machine. Clean, constant sound. I love that the white noise comes from a fan so there is no looping. I bought for my baby but I enjoy it as much, if not more, than the baby. Highly recommend.

My bedroom felt like a college dorm or frat house with my silly $10 box fan in the window or sitting next to my nightstand, but I couldn't sleep without it. The Dohm makes me feel like I'm crushing adulting. It not EXACTLY the same white noise as the fan but only took one night to get used to it. I love this thing and it's small enough to easily fit in my suitcase for traveling.

Works great. I keep it underneath my night stand and I have it turn on and off automatically using a Philips Hue outlet and apple HomeKit and it works great!

Small noise output for our needs. Worked ok but we had used an air purifier that had better noise output and returned this one.

Love the sound of this, used to sleep with a fan on which is fine, but this works lovely. I moved in with my mom to help her out during Covid-19 and on the days I’m not drinking my self to Sleep lol, I’ll put this on the floor near my closed bedroom door to drown out the game shows she watches til like 3am for crying out loud. Yeah this is nice. Had it now for 6 months or so, has performed flawlessly.

Definitely the best noise makers. I would not recommend the electric speaker ones. I recommend the 2 speed model any color. Puts you right to sleep.

My father-in-law got one of these to drown out my MIL's snoring. He swore by it. Before I even knew he had one, my wife had purchased one. (I sleep in a different room because my snoring is so ridiculous.) She swore by hers; best night's sleep she's gotten in years. She has no problem falling asleep but often struggled staying asleep. This product is perfect for anyone who has to have a fan on to sleep. My only complaint is that after a few months of use the lower of the two speeds available quit working; luckily I prefer the sound output of the louder speed. So just keep in mind that the selector switch may quit working.

I've had an original Marpac Dohm for about four years now. I swear by it for sleeping and recommend it to everyone. The sound quality of this product is NOT the same as the original. It isn't nearly as loud as the original version and I've noticed that the sound has less depth to it. That being said, this is still a solid option for sound machine. This is my favorite sound machine. I have one in every bedroom. This is just white noise and is perfect if that’s what you are looking for. The only issue is I’ve had to replace some of my other units like this in the past bc it completely stopped working but it was not this exact brand or supplier. I wouldn’t say this was good to take on a trip. Too bulky especially when you can download an app on your cell phone that sounds almost as good

The first Dohm product I got was amazing. I worked night shift and lived in a dorm overseas. Kept most of the hallway noise from waking me up. It was great! It lasted 4 years and probably would still be going strong but it got damaged in a move. So I ordered a replacement and it has a rhythmic click that I can’t seem to stop.
