After updating my cable box I needed these - Kinetix failed

I was using MS Kinetix to control my cable box but after updating the cable box the kinetics failed. You just connect to the Xbox (one) and position it so you can see the stereo, cable box and TX, everything works great now and I can easily disable Kinetix. A simple update to unify all controls across Xbox. (I also use Google Home to turn the system on and off). Recommended

Cons
  • Making me angry

The emitter isn't where I thought it would work with the Xbox One.

The product works but it took me longer than it should to realize the IR emitter was on the end and not the side. This isn't the strongest transmitter so it needs to be aimed so it's pointing straight at the receiver. You can check it with cell phone camera (IR light will be visible through cell phone camera). Glue is weak. I used this to turn on the soundbar and control my TV from my Xbox One media remote after my Kinect died.

Pros
  • Remote Control Extensions
Cons
  • No Power

Xbox One S fits Accessories and Accessories

This cable saved my entertainment center. My Xbox One S wasn't sending IR to the TV through the Kinect, so I was keen to try it because the Xbox on feature and voice volume control are my Kinect's main uses and helped me get rid of all but one of the remotes. This cable plugged directly into the infrared port on the back of the Xbox One S, and the cable was long enough to get just about anywhere you need it. Microsoft advises against using a cable with more than 3 IR blasters so I went with one

Suitable for Xbox One Media Remote Control

If you have purchased a non-Kinect Xbox One and are planning to purchase a Microsoft Media Remote (which uses IR to communicate), you will be overcome by the inability to control be disappointed Settings Power or volume settings for TV/cable box. Decision? This product! Installed in 45 seconds and glued the sensor to my Samsung TV (not smart). Presto! Now I can turn my TV on and off with my Xbox and also control the volume. We only broadcast shows and movies at home, we don't have cable or…
