I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this secret safe. It's metal inside and has keys. The locking mechanism works very well. This is a great gift for everyone!

I cheated on my husband! He always finds my stash but he NEVER reads so he blends into my bookshelf and now I have a thick stack that I saved because his sticky fingers can't find it! Hahaha 'laugh at evil'

This is a great little LOCK for 'not so important' things that you don't want to get in the wrong hands. This is NOT a SAFE for "important" things that you need a stronger, fireproof safe for.

This safe with a hidden book looks extremely fake. The "pages" surrounding the book look like the plastic used to make laundry baskets. The metal body and locking mechanism felt very solid and could perhaps be reused, but the book itself doesn't hide anything. It almost looks like a toy.

I would give 6 stars but there are no pages in the book. I get fooled every time I read a book and take this one. Also feels a little weird locking up my reading material. Almost like censorship. I think I could just hide something in there and not try to read it.

This was a Christmas present for a 12 year old boy who loves to read. I wanted to give him money for Christmas, but I wanted a more interesting way than just in an envelope. He loved it! He left immediately and took his stash of gift cards and other money to lock them all in his book safe. It was such a hit!

I lost my keys once. You can crack it open with a butter knife, flip it, and reseal it in under 5 minutes and nobody gets the wiser. I can't pick locks except in video games. My front cover broke off at the seam in less than a month. It's cheap so you get what you pay for. Definitely don't buy if you're looking for something that will last a long time and won't crack easily.
