Great little power supply

Great little power supply, takes up very little space, easily drives a full power HF setup. I have a 2m 50w radio and a 100w HF radio connected to it and no problem with either radio switched off.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some flaws

Small power station. on CB radios & scanners

Nice little and I mean little power pack. I have no problem powering my QRO and dual band setup at the same time. I don't know if he has the guts to transmit both signals at the same time, but I only have one mouth so that suits me.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Frequency

Good power supply for the price.

I operate this telescope. I put together a little box with a bunch of connectors to connect everything and this power supply runs it all. You can set it to latch, which will automatically set the output voltage to around 13.5V, which is ideal. My digital voltmeter says it's accurate. The fan runs as fast as it needs to, so I think it's pretty quiet for the loads I put on it, which only draw about 5 amps max. I'm very happy with what I'm doing with it.

Pros
  • Durable workmanship
Cons
  • Ok, but...

Not made in communist China so you don't have to pay duties

Not made in communist China so you don't have to pay fair trade duties. That means you don't have to pay the fare as part of the price. This is an excellent source of food. I needed something adjustable. The voltage adjustment knob is fixed at 13.8 VDC. It has an internal AC fuse located in a slot for easy replacement. A special feature is the fan. At low temperatures, the fan doesn't work at all, it slowly speeds up depending on the heat inside. If you haven't read it in the specs, it's rated…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Good power supply but not quiet

Bought this power supply to replace the Diamond GZV4000 40A switching power supply. The Diamond power supply produces spurious signals that appear on the 80m and 40m bands. Reviews and complaints about this power supply are that it is very clean in terms of radio interference. I did not find any significant difference between this power supply and the Diamond power supply in terms of radiated RF noise. Claims that this MFJ power supply can be quiet may be due to the switching frequency, which…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not trendy
