Shame on spring rods

I tried using these rods to hang a curtain but the nail kept slipping out of position allowing the really tiny tension spring to shift, what to do caused the curtain to collapse. This happened with each of the three bars I received (I thought I only ordered one, my mistake). They are terrible and not worth the money. Buy something else.

  • Not as good as it says

Terrible weak pain in the ass!

Definitely not what I expected! When you see the words tension rod, you usually think of something like a shower curtain rod. NO, in this case it is not a screw cap! It's a struggle tightening the little screw while it stays in place! Yes, you tighten the screw to adjust it, not just screw it tight. And it's not strong at all! He has absolutely no support in the middle. Totally unsatisfied! I do not recommend!

  • Worth the money

Cheap, flimsy and just doesn't work.

Firstly the stem was very difficult to assemble - seems like the pieces just don't slide smoothly into each other trying to fix paint scratches on the stem. The spring is also very tight so the rod is only compressed 0.5 inch and after trying to install it can hardly support its own weight let alone the weight of the curtain. Very thin material that bends easily. Not recommended, even for a poor student like me.

Pros
  • Great fit for me

Very durable! in Home Decor Products

I bought this rod for the window above my bed in our RV. I didn't want to make holes in the wall and there is a built in box beam that uses this. This seems perfect, I tightened the bolt by pulling the stem out a little more than the required width. Seems really durable. It's not the kind of tension rod that you twist one way or the other to make it smaller or bigger. This has a screw to hold it at the width you set. For this app I prefer this guy because he doesn't relax on his own while we're

The real test is when.

They use it for other purposes! I needed an adjustable pole to support my BOAT CANVAS on my boat's cockpit lid. Now it's not a small boat! (32 feet. Not HUGE either.) The canvas is thick and the boat is 10.5 feet wide. So it supports a lot of stuff. And still. I am impressed! It works PERFECTLY for what I use it for! I will keep modifying to make it better. but the rod itself works great for what I use it for. Placing the weight on a vertical plane. NOW. If you use it as a "hanger" and put…

Simple but effective cornice

I bought this cornice to furnish a dressing room in my studio. After reading the reviews I was very skeptical because a lot of people said it sagged in the middle. Not sure what they used it for or how long they had it (mine is 60") but it works great for my use. Couldn't stand hanging clothes on him for example. They buy a flimsy metal cornice; be They are realistic about its purpose. The price is great and the quality is quite good. The instructions that came with the rod were difficult to…

Does the job but is difficult to adjust

I'm used to twisting tension rods so wasn't sure how to adjust them to the right length for my door when this came up. There aren't actually any instructions in the box on how to do this, so I checked out the other reviews on here and should have found out. Once I figured it out it was a bit slow because I had to keep adjusting the screw, squeezing the rod and seeing if it fit in the door. So it took about 3 or 4 times to adjust the screw to actually fit. I don't touch this door with the…
