Poor design buyer beware

They look nice and are sturdy but a major design flaw they don't tell you. The Original Equipment taillights fit into the body and are secured with grommets on either side of the taillight, which prevents the taillight from being pulled from side to side and then secured into the body with a nylon bolt and retracted. Unfortunately they don't have a side latch as the cage doesn't allow the LED's latch tabs to sit in the housing. The only pull tab that fits is the tiny pull tab inside to line the

Shorted my jeep

I followed the instructions on the tee. There is no way to keep the wiring away from the case so it runs across. It shorted out my wiring and everything from the power roof to the backup camera and the entire infotainment system was inoperable. I took it to the dealer and he said they see a lot of these problems with aftermarket products. Installing new wiring from the taillight cost me $750. Just be aware that the wiring will be pinched when you attach it. I think if you wrap them in tape or…

Not compatible with Mopar Reinforced Tailgate Hinge

They seem pretty cool and well made. THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH THE MOPAR REINFORCED REAR DOOR HINGE unless you wish to use an angle grinder to reinforce the tailgate and taillight housing. With some modifications it will work, but regularly - no. There is an edge on the loop that the light hits. When it hits there is a lot of leverage that will break the inner stud retainer and never allow the case to sit perfectly. If the company offered a version with no tailgate bulges it would fit perfectly…

Reinforced taillight guard

I first ordered them through the Quadratec Jeep parts catalogue. They were ordered within a month, which is becoming a common problem with replacement parts from them. So when I saw them in the Revain warehouse I immediately canceled that order and ordered it here. These are really solid heavy guards and they look good. They feel like their cast iron, but they don't know if it is. Installation requires a little more work than I would with tail light guards as you will have to remove the…

Dims your backlight!

Numerous technical problems, the product adds weight and weakens the headlights when held only with the wrong screws and the bracket becomes redundant. I'm not sure what happened, but this product will cause problems. You need LED lights for this product to work and what other reviews have said about wire pinching is not true, it only happens if installed incorrectly. What it will do though is that what is already held by the plastic screw adds a lot of weight, the supplied screws are…

It's worth it!: Lighting and lighting accessories

Doesn't fit perfectly (slightly more), but it doesn't matter because it's only visible from the side. at the rear (inside the taillight hole with these guards) it doesn't lock perfectly. It seems like the only thing holding your taillight now is just a white screw that you access from the trunk. This is simply because you increased the thickness of the taillight so your original clamps are shorter. Tip: make the screws bigger first and DO NOT overtighten them! This will cause a crack...trust…
