Works like a champ in plumbing

I'll leave that connected to the basement plumbing. We have clay in our water, the water regulator sticks occasionally and we have over 90 psi in our house. This allows me to control the pressure so that everything is safe.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • ---

I used to have one of these that got damaged somehow and the gauge was full of water. The water appears to have come in from behind as the glass was not broken. Nevertheless, the device is very useful because the water pressure in motorhomes fluctuates greatly.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons

Useful for knowing the actual water pressure at RV sites

I use this pressure gauge to check the water pressure at a specific campsite. I'm reluctant to use a pressure reducer unless it's really needed as it also causes pressure loss. I have another gauge that pops up the line if the pressure is over 55psi to save my water lines and faucets.

There is no way to install it in the right position!

Cannot be installed in correct position! It has no flexible connection between the pipe part and the thread. Either the water connection is tight and the display is in the wrong position (in my case it is pointing towards the house wall), or the display is pointing in the right direction and is leaking because the threads are not tight enough! Very disappointing technique of this product.

  • Quality construction

Maybe not exactly

That seems easy to stick with, so I don't quite trust it. Also note that this is non-regulatory, some other commenters are confused. It's just a pressure gauge, not a pressure relief regulator. It seems to bang to one side and then 0 when it's off. I understand that when the hose is closed off the gauge, the pressure in the house will prevail, but when it flows it seems to stay pinched, leading me to suspect this isn't that accurate.

This probably saved my bacon (and my internal water system in my RV) on its second use. Visited a campground with 120psi water pressure which may be an issue for many RV's. I can't tell what would have happened if I hadn't installed this gauge and a restrictor (pressure limit at 55 psi) afterwards. However, without the restrictor, the water pressure entering my system would be 120psi, which was accurate on the gauge, but potential damage could occur. I would recommend either installing a…
