The device is still very useful as water pressure varies significantly between different van fleets.
I used to have one of these that got damaged somehow and the gauge was full of water. The water appears to have come in from behind as the glass was not broken. Nevertheless, the device is very useful because the water pressure in motorhomes fluctuates greatly.
