High Quality Bits: Drill

Purchased these from one of the third party vendors on Revain. The bits look really nice, are very sharp and appear to be of good quality. I'm not sure if this is normal, but the bits were covered in some kind of oily grease. I don't know if this was done at the factory or if the seller did it to reduce the risk of corrosion (didn't look used as the bits are very sharp). But my other Viking Brad core drill set was not lubricated. Good quality, easy to drill, there is a nice metal storage box…

Pros
  • Freehand
Cons
  • Very Expensive

THE HIGHEST BOX DIT I'VE EVER BEEN.

I hate to say it, but haven't used it yet. I will update later. I still had to comment. I was very impressed when I received this set. The box was so heavy I thought they sent me two sets. You can see the craftsmanship and quality of the material. Sharp as they could be. UPDATE: Drilled out 4 broken, twisted engine mount bolts that couldn't be removed. Started with one of the smallest sizes and scaled it up with 12 bits in each hole. They cut effortlessly, don't break and show no signs of…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

A thing of absolute beauty! Nice update.

I've been a home/DIY/designer weekend warrior for over 50 years. no contractors wish me luck ;-P ) I've been disappointed with two sets of bits I've bought since 1998. the existing hole is slightly larger. Also, I hate the hard plastic indices they come with. Too heavy to release the latch. They must have engineered them to be dropped onto a concrete floor and the index didn't open. As for me, I've never dropped an index full of bits and I find very strong locks really annoying at times…

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Something Different
