Description of ๐Ÿš— Zeltauto LED Digital Car Voltmeter: Reliable 12V/24V Vehicle Voltage Gauge Monitor for Auto Car Truck

With red screen digital color, there is no difficulty in seeing the display; Apply for DC 12V or 24V car; Measuring range: DC 8V-30V+/-1.2% (The voltage of car usually reads 12Vยฑ0.5V when it works; PLEASE ALLOW 0.1-0.5 VOLTS DISPLAY ERROR). This digital gauge displays the voltage of batteries in the car; Powered by car cigarette lighter charger. Simple enough to use, just plug it into cigar lighter socket, watch alternator's output from idle to accelerated speed. When engine running (do not drive), the LED display: between 13.5 to 14.5 (12V car), between 26.0 to 28.0 (24V car). When engine off, and nothing turned on, LED display: Greater than 12.0 (12V car) or 24.0 (24V car).

Cheap but not quite accurate

My van doesn't have a battery gauge so I used this cheap little device to see what's up with my voltage while driving. It helps me. (My van goes into low power mode for the generator when there isn't a heavy load while driving.) I deducted a star because it read somewhere between 0.2 and 0.5 volts compared to the meter I connected. high.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Volume

This article saved a life. .

This item saved a life. Instead of using a hydrometer to test the battery's gravity, I just add it to the area that will be used for the lighter. Saved me a lot of time. a vehicle and I rarely drive, start often. Connected the solar panel to my car battery. I'm still not sure how well solar works, but it really keeps me on track. would buy again.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good way to monitor battery and charging system

Bought 2 of these a few years ago, now bought 2 more, works great in a motorhome with multiple bus and motor batteries. Use the new ones in my old trucks! Fast reaction to voltage measurement when starting the engine. I measured the 40mA they draw from the battery if left plugged in all the time since they are red LEDs and not LCDs as the name suggests. LCD displays would be much smaller. But it can just be plugged in when needed and easily unplugged to turn it off - if draining in cold weather

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Keep an eye on your charging system

My car had problems with the charging system. The original generator began to fail and eventually failed. The alternator replacement took only an hour before it started to fail and then failed completely. The third generator stops. In all cases, the dash-mounted voltmeter is too crude to indicate what's going on, and it's not easy to plug a regular test lead into the cigarette lighter socket and take readings while driving. This meter will tell you exactly if you are charging or just running on

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons

Exactly and exactly what I needed.

I bought this for a vehicle that will be used in the field and does not have a voltage sensor. I'd like to know what my voltage is in case I'm doing too much paperwork in the van and not paying attention to power consumption. When cars have an automatic shutdown, there is often a risk that there is not enough juice left to start the engine, for example when it is very cold outside. This works pretty well. The only complaint I have about it is that it's a bit dim, which can make it difficult toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Much better than a dummy flashlight

0.7 volt cutoff but $6.95. Simply plug into the cigarette lighter and off you go. Much better than artificial light. The Zelauto voltmeter shows 14.0 volts from the cigarette lighter and I get 14.7 volts from the battery from my Milton battery tester. So I use 14.0 volts as the baseline and add 0.7 to get 14.7. "You have to understand that the cigarette lighter is not the best place to get really good readings. Who knows how far and through what this circuit has to go to get to the device. Make

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Inaccurate and useful only above 9v but cheap

I bought two packs as a cheap voltage monitor for a 12v backup battery. As an EE, I tested them on my workbench with an input voltage of 6V to 15V. Both drew 40mA of operating current, which isn't very much, but it's not bad either. With an input voltage of 10-15 V, one device constantly showed a low value of 0.2-0.3 V, the other constantly 0.4-0.6 V. For example, if the actual voltage was 11 V, then one block showed 10.8 V on , the other 10.5 V. With an input voltage below 9 V, both displaysโ€ฆ
