Gatehub is a cryptocurrency exchange from the United Kingdom. United Kingdom is the country which without a doubt has the most cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.

GateHub platform serves a dual-role; one as the payment gateway (wallet) and second as a cryptocurrency exchange.

Started in 2014, GateHub is a UK-based cryptocurrency exchange that uses Ripple (XRP) as a form of digital coin for trading and moving money across the so-called Ripple network, but claims that it is a business independent from Ripple. Apart from Ripple, at GateHub you may also trade in popular coins such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and others against several other digital coins and fiat currencies. Gatehub has a special gateway for digital assets other than Ripple, called GateHub Fifth.

Gatehub is good until something goes wrong. The worst part is the lack of cooperation from the customer service. Always enable two-factor authentication and tighten security by all means to reduce such instances of fraud. It is also recommended to not store a lot of money in the wallet, to minimize losses in case of a hack. Regardless of the platform you trade on, tightening the security of your account is of utmost importance.

  • Gatehub isn’t just for experienced traders. It is for everyone who wants to trade and transact crypto, whether they are beginners or pros. One of the biggest advantages of Gatehub is that users can directly exchange cash for XRP or other digital coins. Exchanges with no trading fees usually charge deposits and withdrawals. Although Gatehub isn’t free, it is definitely cheap.
