It offers a chat window next the trading window which is officially named "TrollBox" by HitBTC, a fitting name I believe. This is the perfect place for pump & dump schemes.
HitBTC is promoted by MinerGate and it seems there's a cooperation between MinerGate, FreeWallet and Changelly, all of which don't have the best reputation, that alone wouldn't say much but for me there are too many yellow flags in this exchange. Be careful before trusting your money in them.
Pros
- The first noticeable thing is its easy to use and clear interface. However, because of the important cons I'm describing bellow, I didn't use this exchange much and any possible positive aspect of this exchange is overshadowed by their greed.
Cons
- When buying BTC through USD, the minimum amount of BTC you can buy is 0.01BTC. There's a also weird rounding system in place which feels like it's designed to steal users or save some computing performance on their servers by disallowing small trades. For example the minimum LTC decimal allowed is 0.1 (~6$), anything less than that is left in their platform as "dust" until you deposit more funds to trade, but there'll always be dust of a much higher amount than there usually is in other exchanges.
