Pros
- Poloniex exchange offers a lot of value when compared to competitors like Bittrex. For one, Poloniex’s user funds are stored in cold wallets. This means that your funds will not be online, i.e. no one will be able to “hack” or steal your coins. Poloniex only keeps enough coins online to make sure there is enough to go around while trading.
Cons
- Poloniex has temporarily "lost" people's money During high usage and DDOS attacks, Poloniex has been known to lose users' money. They can takes days/weeks to respond to tickets, holding funds and transfers and not responding to ticket requests.
