Seems like a trick but works
That's the first thing I hear about a hand deodorant. It's a bit of a trick. It feels like rubbing your fingers on a deodorant stick. So you could probably use any deodorant to do the same job since the skin on your arm isn't that different from the skin on your armpit. However, I have to tell you that it smells quite nice. I have orange flavor. It's definitely worth a try. It's hard to say how long it will last, but I suspect it should last a few months if you use it every day. Hope the photos are helpful.
