Enhanced GM D1561D Headlamp Switch - Genuine Parts for Optimal Performance Review

I needed a new headlight switch. Ordered yesterday, received today. It was exactly what was pictured and exactly what my 1995 GMC Safari Van needed. The price was really good. I'm not kidding about overnight delivery.

Installed on my 1994 GMC 4X4 pickup. The reason I ordered it was because if I ever went to turn on my headlights, they took a while to turn on, the dash lit up right away but the headlights didn't. I fuel up a bit expensive but not having to wait for your lights to come on was worth it. Now they light up as soon as I turn them on.

Ready to use and now my headlights work on the old Urban Assault Car. A little tip about the exchange. If you are removing the front panel cover that the switch is attached to, you will need to use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the four small screws to remove the retaining plate that the light switch is attached to.

Good genuine GM product in original packaging. Easy to install in Suburban or 1992 trucks. Great fit, the switch feels solid when pressed. The lettering on the switch is clear and bright. Just one tip: When installing the switch, ensure that the ambient temperature is pleasantly warm or bring the instrument panel into a warm room. Do not install in extremely cold or freezing weather as the plastic tabs on the dash bezel become very brittle and break easily when the switch is engaged. Very happy

Fits my 1990 Chevy K2500 exactly. Much faster than the original switch. This is a common point of failure on these trucks, as all of the current for the lights goes through the switch. You can fix this by adding a relay to your headlights and connecting the headlight connector wires to the control side of the relay. You can buy ready made "heavy duty headlamp harnesses" that are just that. So the switch only controls the relay, not the headlights themselves. You don't have to replace the switch
