Smooth Ride with ALEKO Chains

These chains provide excellent traction on snow and ice. They're easy to install and remove, and they've held up well over time. The downsides are they may be difficult to store and they require extra caution when driving on dry pavement, as they can cause some noise and vibration. Despite these minor drawbacks, I would definitely recommend these chains to any automotive enthusiast facing harsh winter weather.

Practice, practice, practice

Color coded hands do not match the colors on the chains. The close-ups in the product description were clearer. Received the chains the day before a major storm hit the area on 01/22/16. I didn't really use them because our area was declared a state of emergency. We strongly recommend that you practice installing it before you actually need it. Also, be prepared with a full tank of gas, food, water, blankets and other essentials before you get caught. Traffic here was disrupted for many hours…

Both chains broke within the first ten miles

Easy to install although one of the chains broke on the first try. A few miles later the first chain broke the link. We heard a broken piece of chain bang against the wheel frame and stopped to see what was going on. A road mechanic came and cut off the loose end of the chain, then the rest of the chain was loose but seemed fine. A few kilometers later, the second chain broke in the same way - the link gnawed through the road surface. This time nobody was around to cut off the chain links that…
