Perfect replacement for the one I broke

I learned the hard way that you can use too much force when fastening rivets :). It's a different brand than the oddly named tool I have, but I bet most of those cheap riveting tools made in China are probably the same design. I got lucky and it worked great.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • something different

10-24 mandrel

I bought an rzx rivet and broke the 10-24 mandrel (my fault). I bought this hoping it would fit and fit perfectly. I can't confirm the build quality but it looks identical to the one in my kit. So this rating should really let everyone know that it will fit the RZX rivet grooving machine and probably all other Chinese manufacturers.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

You'll need one or three more.

If you have never used a socket wrench and want to install round rivets in a Promaster you will need to order several. If you overload 10-24, break them off in the wall and you're done. (Just drill a new holder, prime against rust and move on). Way on the thorn and no further. The mandrel must not protrude beyond the nut. Then when you pull, it starts out light and then pulls a little harder. - Then stop. Check if it spins, and if it does, crank a crank or two and it should work. I went through

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
