Easy to use and very useful device

Perfect for my hunting needs. It is much more convenient to take it with you when hunting than ordinary binoculars. The 10x magnification allows me to survey the boundaries of hunting grounds with one hand without having to aim a scope. The belt pouch fits well, but the velcro is too noisy when hunting.

Not the best binoculars and scopes

On first attempt with this monocular, the eyepiece rotated freely and the internal focusing mechanism was loose. Returned, second, the focus of the eyepiece moved away from the focusing mechanism. Not exactly what I called a solid build returned the second block. When I switched to another brand, I also noticed the intense rubbery smell of this product. Keep that in mind if you plan to use it for hunting.

Junk with a bad guarantee

On the first try, the eyepiece broke off when focusing and could no longer be switched on. Unfortunately I did not get it back within the 30 day return period. Barska's "Limited Lifetime Warranty" should cover this, but they require you to pay them $20 to even look at them. That fee plus shipping back to Barska turns this mediocre $45 monocular into a mediocre $80 monocular. I guess I'll just have to eat the cost of this piece of junk. I will not buy another Barska product.

  • Large selection
Cons

Strong enough, very narrow focus that requires constant attention

Light enough to be carried in a pocket, acceptable image quality with moderate aberrations of about 15% in from the edge, strong enough, very narrow focus that requires constant attention, goofy eye relief For use with glasses it sometimes feels like the field of view isn't enough, and other times it seems like the magnification isn't enough (which is really a matter of trade-off). Contrast isn't exactly dim, but rather dim than bright - in general, the case is somewhat useful, but not entirely

  • Quick changeover

Decent Price

I live in the country, hunt, hike and shoot at range. I was looking for something similar, comfortable to wear and with a decent look. I've just been outside with it and my first impressions are positive. Has a large field of view, is easy to focus and feels good in the hand. I'm a little taller than I expected but that's ok. I was able to focus on a beer can about 25 yards away that I was using as a shotgun target and I could see the individual holes I'd shot in the can. I was able to locate…

Works great for the price

A must have. There are just moments when you want to see things up close. It's obviously easier to carry than binoculars, but finding a target with a monocular always seems more difficult. I have to take my glasses off to focus and that's not very convenient. They have good clarity and good magnification for moderate distances (e.g. theatres). Appears to be very well made and sturdy; not lightweight at all. I forgot the first time I went to the theater in the park - I'm finally getting used to…

Good monocular at this price

My eyesight is not what it used to be and any help is appreciated what this monocular does. Haven't used it on an indoor range yet, but it seems to be a little underlit (harder to use in low light). However, outdoor use was excellent. It is convenient to press the rubber rim on the eye, the focus adjustment is smooth. We practiced with airguns, and the 177 caliber holes in the targets aren't visible from afar. This monocular quickly locks onto the target and clearly displays the hits received…

Very good quality for this money.

A bit skeptical after reading many reviews about it. But for this money it is very high quality and very valuable. It's a little bigger than I was hoping for, but it's just the size it says in the description. The field of view is a perfect match for above-average performance. In other words, it's easy to find the object you want to see in the lens, and the field of view is wide enough that the object doesn't jump into the field of view like cheaper lenses do. It's very high quality, but don't…

Quality product at an affordable price.

The monocular itself is very high quality. It's waterproof, tactile, has a wrist strap, is textured, and has finger spacing for extra grip. It comes with a black fabric case, the monocular fits snugly inside, and the case has a loop so you can thread a strap through it and keep it close to you. The eyecup works as intended, but needs to be placed carefully over the eye to avoid the lashes obscuring the view. You can adjust the eyepiece for better clarity depending on the distance to the object…
